Back again with another trendsetting brand, True Paradox. They are making big splashes in the street fashion game, while slowly changing the game with their unique and bold designs. Check out the interview below for a closer look into the brand!!!
What was your inspiration for this seasons designs?
This years Fall & Winter designs are a mixture of designs from over the past few years that I had shelved. Since we are getting ready to release our first documentary showing those years I felt I should match it with designs from over those years. We have some newer designs as well though.
How did you get the name True Paradox?
This is a common question. In 2009 I was having issues deciding on a name because I didn't know what style I was going to end up creating with my brand, I felt that every name I came up with was to Questionable and contradicting to the clothing, which in essence is a Paradox, so I named it Paradox. About a year or so after we started I renamed it True Paradox because I started seeing other brands with the same name popping up.
Whats the message your brand is trying to give or portray?
True Paradox portrays the Questionable nature in everyone. There are many things in the world that instantly contradict or are not understandable and that's what I like to convey when designing our lines.
What can we expect in the future seasons?
You can expect more inventiveness styles and unusual designs. We are getting more and more into cut and sew products, such as our pocket tees, and other creative styles such as our forth coming beanies. I cant say for sure because out collections are selected so close to the release date, we may have 50 or 60 product ideas that we then select the best few from.

What got you interested in the fashion game?
I got interested in fashion around 11 or 12 when I started paying attention to the brands I wore the most, at that time Vans was my favorite, I started using Microsoft paint to design some very......terrible tee shirts and eventually worked my way to True Paradox in 2009 during my Freshman Year in High School.
What current trends do you want to see squashed?
Honestly, I cant think of any at this time. Street wear Fashion is at a good place right now and hopefully we only continue to progress.

Any more accessories coming up?
We are currently working on some of our first legit beanies, those have been a big deal for a lot of our strong followers. We are also looking to have some Lanyards and Lighters done by the end of the year as well as a new wood chain.
How did you come up with the logo?
The logo as it is now was originally a design for a shirt. Our logo was just the 4 letters side by side, very boring looking back at it, and I decided to do a break design for our Spring 2011 collection and once I finished designing it I knew it was going to be our logo from then on.

How have you seen your local fashion scene come up over the years?
The local scene has grown a lot in just the past year. We have seen Lurk Hard go national, making it on to sites like Zumiez and more. Official Crown of Laurel blew up, you can find them in Tilly's, Zumiez & More but the more local brand are even growing at a great pace. Brands like LGT STZ have gained major notice after their table at Rufio's Transition in December as well has their collaborative snapback with Zepher. Other locals such as Above Average & Below The Surface also are doing quite well for themselves.
How can people stay connected with the brand? (twitter, blog,Instagram)
